Mr. Stacey is a senior level corporate finance and operating executive with a broad range of experience over a wide variety of industries. A creative problem solver with a unique ability to effectively structure complex transactions, his professional history includes work with world class national and international financial services companies as well as privately held commercial finance, manufacturing and financial advisory businesses. Corporate finance transaction experience includes financial advisory, valuations, fairness and solvency opinions, debt and equity capital placement, leveraged buyouts, management buyouts, recapitalization, restructuring, merger and acquisitions advisory, both sell and buy side, distressed M&A, and Section 363 sales in bankruptcy.
Prior to founding Legacy Advisors, Mr. Stacey served as Executive Vice President, Fleet Capital Corporation (acquired Barclays Business Credit in 1994), where he held $10 million of signature credit authority, with responsibility for west coast operations inclusive of portfolio administration, syndications, originations and underwriting. Mr. Stacey has owned and operated three privately held businesses and has successfully completed over a billion dollars in senior debt, mezzanine and equity financings. He has been involved as an advisor in over 350 M&A transactions, including leveraged acquisitions, and management buy outs.
Education and Professional Affiliations
Mr. Stacey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University, a Masters in Business Administration, concentration in finance, from Temple University, and an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the University of California at Los Angeles. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Stanford University Program on Organizational Change, the Columbia University Leadership Program and the Graduate Marketing Certificate Program at Southern Methodist University.
Mr. Stacey is a former Certified Management Accountant and a former member of the National Association of Accountants and the Institute of Management Accounting. An Accredited Valuation Analyst since 2002, Mr. Stacey is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (www.nacva.com), holding the AVA, Accredited Valuation Analyst designation. He is also a member of the Turnaround Management Association and the Association for Corporate Growth. Mr. Stacey is a FINRA Registered Representative, and Investmet Banking Representative, Series 7, 63 and 79. Mr. Stacey is also a member of the Middle Market Investment Banking Association ( www.mmiba.com) and holds the CPMA (Certified Practitioner Mergers & Acquisitions) designation.

Published on various topics in the ABA Journal, Journal of Commercial Bank Lending, Journal of Buy Outs and Acquisitions, Commercial Lending Journal and the Secured Lender, Mr. Stacey is also much in demand as a speaker and lecturer. He has been a guest speaker on several occasions at the Commercial Finance Association National Convention, the Commercial Finance Conference of California, and the Executive Institute of New York. Mr. Stacey has been a guest lecturer at the University of California Los Angeles Extension on topics covering commercial finance marketing; asset based lending and leveraged acquisitions. He has also been a guest speaker at the University of Texas Dallas, School of Management, on capital formation.
